This specimen consisted of two pieces of dark brown coloured soft tissue.

The pathology report described the contents of the specimen as a cyst partly lined by a relatively thin, focally hyperplastic layer of non-keratinized squamous epithelium. The connective tissue exhibited a focal inflammatory cell infiltrate consisting largely of plasma cells, lymphocytes and neutrophils.

No evidence of malignancy was detected.
